Frequently Asked Questions
VCE Economics involves quantitative reasoning and data interpretation but not advanced mathematics. Students need to be comfortable reading graphs, interpreting percentages and understanding rates of change. A strong maths background is helpful but not required.
VCE Economics Units 3–4 focus on current economic conditions — inflation, unemployment, GDP growth, the RBA's cash rate decisions, the federal budget position and Australia's current account.
